See plots USFS.7,8. Transect bearing is 110 degrees. Chains 1-65 goes down a steep rocky sideslope. Chains 1-18 Betula alleghaniensis and Tsuga canadensis. Chains 18-65 Prunus serotina and Quercus rubra. Hit private land at chain65, changed bearing to 220 degrees. Went along the sideslope, rocky with Quercus rubra and Quercus prinus.;Sugar maple-Red oak. One hundred percent rock cover, 49 percent slope. Large Tilia americana, few Acer saccharum, Carya sp. Rich forb layer.
